Part 1
First Class in the ActivInspire 3-class Series
We offer a series of 3 classes of increasing complexity for ActivInspire Software – each with its own companion hands-on workshop – all designed to help you achieve outstanding results with your new ActivBoard. This is the first class in the ActivInspire series. Our programs contain proven, successful methods for consistently delivering high quality instruction with measurable results. These 1-day classes and optional 2nd day companion workshops may be conducted at your school or district, or at the Logical Choice training facilities in Georgia, New York and Southern California.
Participants will learn how to use the fundamental tools of the Promethean ActivSoftware and to create basic flipchart lessons using your choice of ActivInspire or ActivStudio software. The instructor will show the way to access Promethean Planet, a teacher community of over 400,000 strong, and then how to tap its vast resources to impact student engagement and learning. Throughout this course, the participants will be shown effective strategies for beginning users that will increase student achievement.
Step-by-step, hands-on instruction with examples, for the following and more:
- Understanding the basic Tools (e.g., pen, highlighter, eraser, shape tool)
- Creating interactive flipchart lessons that are based upon state standards
- Exploring the Resource Browser to locate the vast collection of digital images, clipart, sounds, and activities to meet all curriculum needs
- Accessing online resources such as Promethean Planet and Promethean Learning to find state-aligned lessons, collaborate with teachers around the globe, and find tutorials and additional software help
For maximum benefit, we suggest this class be followed by its Companion Workshop.
